On our honeymoon in 2016, we were lucky to visit both Arches National Park and Canyonlands. Even though we didn't hike to Delicate Arch, we definitely took the opportunity to go to the viewpoint as a storm was rolling in.

We woke up around 3:30 am and started our descent into Bryce Canyon. We reached the bottom just before dawn and were able to enjoy first light.

This place is intimidating. You would never know by seeing it in a photo, but in person it is impressive and immense. You can stand right by the edge (which is changing with their current construction project). It is surprisingly close to the road and has become a major tourist attraction.

When in the Southwest it is very easy to draw inspiration from the Navajo and other Native American Cultures. The shapes, petroglyphs, plants, and animals really put you in a unique to gain perspective.
